Success for Arthritis NZ and Sharp's Annual Golf Day
Sharp is a proud supporter of Arthritis New Zealand. For the past 3 years, we've been running an annual fundraising golf tournament and over $45,000 has been fundraised for the charitable trust so far.
Each year Sharp NZ proudly supports Arthritis NZ with a Golf Day to raise money for their Children’s Camp.
What is Children’s Camp?
Each year in late February or early March, about 30 children, their caregivers, and siblings attend the Arthritis New Zealand camp for children with JIA and other rheumatological conditions – a weekend filled with fun and information. The camp provides a safe environment for activities like abseiling, flying fox, archery, raft building, kayaking, or they can relax by soaking in the hot pool.Families often find camp a considerable boost as they discover they’re not the only ones living with these conditions. It’s a chance to make friends with others who understand what they’re going through. “I’m not alone anymore,” is a common response.
2023 Annual Golf Day
This year we had a successful field turnout with 17 teams participating in the annual golf event.
It was an awesome one team effort across the Arthritis NZ team, and the Sharp sales and support teams, with everyone chipping in to help to make it a successful day.
Fundraising efforts came from team sponsored entries, an auction and a bunch of raffles/donations on the course.
We are very happy to announce over $12,000 was raised and we're proud of the efforts of many to help make this such a successful day for all.
