Print photos from your smartphone with Sharpdesk Mobile®!

Recently, Sharp's "Network Print" service, which allows you to print photos taken with your smartphone at a convenience store, has become popular.

Meanwhile, office digital multifunction printers (hereafter referred to as MFPs) are also widely used in the office, for printing documents from a PC, scanning documents with the MFP and sending/saving them on a PC.

Have you ever thought it would be convenient if you could print directly from your smartphone on the office multifunction printer, or send and save images scanned on the multifunction printer directly to your smartphone?

For example, there may be times when you want to print out photos you took with your smartphone while out and about as soon as you get back to the office, or you may want to keep personal data such as documents you submitted to your company.

In fact, you can meet these needs by installing the " Mobile Print/Scan App Sharpdesk Mobile ® " app (free *1 ) on your smartphone and using the network functions of our multifunction printers that are compatible with Sharpdesk Mobile ® .

You can check the compatible multifunction devices here .

"Sharpdesk Mobile ® " is an application that makes it easy to print and scan using mobile devices such as smartphones connected to a wireless network and compatible multifunction printers .

We will explain in detail how to use it later, so please give it a try.

What you can do with Sharpdesk Mobile®

  • You can print documents and photo data stored on your smartphone or smartphone app on your multifunction device.
  • You can easily transfer data scanned with your multifunction device to your smartphone.

Of course, you can also attach the data to a smartphone email and send it, or share it with other applications.

How to set up Sharpdesk Mobile®

First, make sure that your MFP and the smartphone with "Sharpdesk Mobile ® " installed are connected to the same network segment. Next, select the target MFP from the smartphone's settings screen and set it up. *2 The screen below is an example of setting up our MFP MX-3661 with an Android device.

*2 If your smartphone and MFP are not in the same network segment (connected to the same wireless LAN router via wired or wireless connection) and the MFP is not displayed on Sharpdesk Mobile®, try the "Connection method using the wireless LAN access point function of the MFP" described below.
